Megan Thee Stallion cosplays Sailor Moon right down to eyeshadow

If you happen to be a fan of Megan Thee Stallion, you probably know that she has always had a strong love for all things anime. In addition to always looking her fiercest, most glamorous look during her tour of Japan, the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper always seems to be spotted subtly referencing or fully committing to her favorite characters in full-on cosplays .

And her latest cosplay? Well, my millennial, Sailor Scout-loving self is completely obsessed .

Megan is a complete Sailor Moon stan

Meg's latest single "ICYMI," a collaboration with Japanese artist Yuki Chiba, went viral on TikTok (complete with dance to it). On July 9, the Texas native shared a cheeky video of herself dancing to the song and, in true Meghan style, dressing up as the character from Sailor Moon The protagonist, this is a series based on a 90s comic book that is still very girly. In suffocation.

Meg wears the protagonist's classic outfit, almost transforming into some playful charm. For her hair, she swapped her natural espresso curls for long blonde locks, which she paired with a space bun and sexy bangs. To add to the doll-like look, she applied frosted silver eyeshadow pigment to her eyes, applying from the inner corner to the base of her eyebrows.

As for proving that Meg is a total Sailor Moon stan ? This isn't the only time she's dressed up as an anime icon: In the summer of 2022, she performed on stage in Tokyo in a full Sailor Scout costume (minus the super-long blonde hair).

She's becoming the cosplay queen

While Sailor Moon is her latest fashion inspiration, this isn't the first time the "HIS" artist has taken on the role of an anime fan.

At the 2024 Anime Awards in Tokyo, Meg took the opportunity to directly reference Bruno Bucciarati's gender-bending "fit and stylish bob" from "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ."

Not long ago, she mentioned another male anime character, Ryomen Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen , who has pink hair, artificial face tattoos and red contact lenses.

To be honest? Her cosplay moments are countless, but the millennial me really feels uncomfortable with her take on the iconic Sailor Moon.
