The Punisher Has Become a Key Part of Daredevil

In Season 1, Daredevil was locked in a long-running battle with another nemesis of Marvel's Lawyer, Wilson Fisk, and the night-time ninja was hugely popular. Jon Bernthal was introduced in Season 2, and I can only hope that his complex character Punisher will appear in Daredevil Season 3 if Netflix renews the show . Bernthal brings his previous role as Shane on The Walking Dead to Frank Castle's attitude of doing what he believes is right at all costs. While Frank wasn't necessarily Daredevil's enemy in season 2, he served as a foil to Matt Murdock and had a charming interaction with Karen. Not to mention his brutal killing style, respect for Daredevil, and connection to Fisk, honestly, how could The Punisher not show up for another season of Daredevil ?

While some have speculated that The Punisher could get his own Netflix series, I prefer to keep his character within the Daredevil universe. (Although in the comics, the Punisher is aligned with Spider-Man, I'd love to see that on the big or small screen.) In the season 2 finale, "A Cold Day in Hell's Kitchen," Frank watches from a rooftop Matt, unmasked, fights the Hand. Although Frank was prepared to shoot members of the Hand, he chose not to do so out of respect for Daredevil, who doesn't usually kill people. Frank even seemed to acknowledge that this was Matt's fight since Elektra had just been killed, and recognized that Daredevil's wrath meant he could take on the Hand himself. (Especially since Daredevil's personal loss echoes Frank's quest for revenge against his dead family.) After Matt successfully defeats the Hand in this battle, Frank—wearing his newly acquired Punisher costume— — Says "Goodbye, Red" to Daredevil before disappearing into Daredevil. New York City at night.

This interaction leads me to believe that The Punisher will return for a third season, but considering Daredevil hasn't been renewed yet, there's no evidence that Bernthal will return. However, when (not if) Daredevil is renewed, the Punisher's role will likely be slightly smaller. While I prefer the Punisher storyline to Elektra and Stick's confusing Chaste Hand war, I think the series will focus on that in season three.

However, just like Fisk's brief but powerful appearance in season two, The Punisher could do the same thing in season three. His backstory as a tortured skilled assassin mourning the loss of his family, coupled with his softer side towards Karen's attempts to discover the truth about Frank Castle, elevates the antihero and makes him a A character that I will be very disappointed to never see again. Plus, let's not forget how epic his kill scenes are.

Even though I've already said I'd like to see more of the Punisher in Daredevil , star Charlie Cox is jumping on the Punisher franchise bandwagon, telling Screen Rant, "With Jon Bernthal After working together, I would love to see The Punisher get his own show. I would love for it to be such a rich character and Jon embodies him in such a wonderful way that fans will feel connected to what he brings to the role. Overwhelmed and satisfied, so I'd love to see The Punisher get his own 13 episodes. If he does, I'd love to be a part of it (laughs) and I hope Daredevil shows up."

Cox also fully admitted that he had no idea or knowledge of what was going to happen with Netflix's Marvel series, but I completely agree that Daredevil season 2 won't happen due to this "rich character" and Bernthal's performance. is our final second season. Meet the Punisher.
