I'm one of the few people on the planet who hasn't read Fifty Shades of Grey . Overall, I'm not crazy about the concept of these books, but I'm not going to knock anyone who enjoys them. However, while I've never read EL James's best-selling book, I do know a few things about Fifty Shades of Grey , because now that the book and movie are woven into it, I can't possibly be completely in the dark. All areas of popular culture. One of the things I've realized? The legendary Fifty Shades of Gray tampon scene, in which Christian Gray is tasked with removing Anastasia Steele's tampon.
Unsurprisingly, the scene didn't quite make it into the movie version, but even before the news was released, one fan took it upon himself to create a visual version of Christian removing Ana's tampon as an animated video — and the results are absolutely horrific.
Why is it so scary? I don't know what's the worst part of this Sims-themed movie trailer: the disturbing text, the imagery, or the undeniably creepy music. Maybe it's a combination of all those things. But I do know I'm going to have nightmares about it. If you don't want to watch the video, I've taken the liberty of picking out the scariest, most disturbing scenes from it so you don't have to.
Just... have your eye bleach ready afterward. I'm talking about the cutest pictures of kittens you can find.
start
As if it wasn't bad enough that the subtitles were Comic Sans, I was just upset that Sim-Christian asked Anna about her period in this way. In fact, I'm disturbed that there's actually dialogue in this video.
But her face
This face will haunt my dreams for the rest of my life. Just know that when this happens, Sim-Christian is pulling a tampon out of her vagina. I can not.
real tampons
Yes, it flew into the toilet. Yes, it's probably made of MS paint.
and the resulting sound effects
When I think of periods and tampons in general, "splash" isn't on my list of favorite sound effects. In fact, we shouldn't talk about the sound effects that occur during your period. It's just not something worth discussing.
Again, subtitles
I've heard this is Anna's favorite phrase to use during sex in the book, but if someone were to pull feminine hygiene products out of my body I would think of a lot of things besides "OMG" and they would include every A curse word in a book.
Finally, the ending
Oh my gosh, it does.
