All our Bethany questions need answers on "PLL"

Pretty Little Liars has introduced us to many mysterious characters over the years, but few are as important or mysterious as Bethenny Young, the girl in Alison's grave at the end. According to Charlotte, it was Bethenny who pushed Marion off the roof, and Bethenny who went to the DiLaurentis' home the night Allison disappeared and hurt Allison's mom, Jessica. However, instead of attacking Jessica, Bethenny was beaten by Mona and buried by Melissa, so she ended up wearing a yellow top into her grave. Charlotte Jean's Bethany story seems to be over, but in reality, we still have a lot of questions about PLL 's mysterious Bethany.

As much as the Liars talk endlessly about Bethany, they haven't figured out everything about the person who passed for Alison's body. Now that we know there may have been some holes in Charlotte's big reveal — or that given what we know about Mary Drake, Charlotte was completely lying — it's sparked a series of questions about how Bethany really fits into it The problem. Is she really a "crazy bitch" as Charlotte says, or was she Big A's victim before Charlotte even put on that black hoodie? There's a lot we need to know before PLL comes to an end in the Season 7 finale, and here are 12 Bethany questions we need answered ASAP:

1. Did Bethenny really push Toby’s mother off the roof?

Charlotte claims she did—and there's a flashback to "prove it"—but Bethany's reasons for pushing Marion never quite hold up. She allegedly urged Marion to protect him from seeing Charlotte (then known as Charles) in a dress, but then blamed Charlotte for Marion's death. Is Bethenny really unstable? Or is there more to this story?

2. Who is Bethany’s father?

We never see him, but apparently he's having an affair with Jessica, which makes Bethany angry. Well...

3. Is Bethenny’s dad really having an affair with Jessica?

Based on the evidence Charlotte and Mona found, he did. But now that we know Mary is in the photo—and possibly from the time Bethenny was at Radley—"Jessica" may actually be Mary.

4. If Alison didn’t write that letter, who wrote it to Bethany?

The letter above is said to be from Bethenny to Alison and references the friendship between the two girls. It's even said that Allison invited Bethany to hang out with her on Labor Day - the same weekend she was found dead. We know Alison didn't write the note, and according to Charlotte, Bethenny was never invited to the DiLaurentis' house at all. So why does this letter exist? Did Charlotte write this letter to frame Alison, or is there something else?

5. Who is Bethany talking about in this recording?

Liars initially thought Bethenny was talking about Alison when she said "I thought she really liked me...everything she said was a lie...like a mother and a daughter?" However, if Alison never knew Bethenny, then who exactly is she talking about?

6. What is the true meaning of her paintings?

If Bethenny really hated Jessica, then her horrific drawing would make sense, but that wasn't the only creepy image that went through Bethenny's mind. I'm particularly curious about the drawing of a boy being taken away by a monster - could this represent a yet-to-be-revealed character, such as Mary's potential third child?

7. What did she look like when she died?

It's a bit fishy that the show didn't give us a photo of Bethenny as a teenager, isn't it? Some fans suspect the reason is that the real Bethany is a character we'll recognize - like Sarah Harvey.

8. Why did Jessica take Bethany away from Radley?

Sure, Jessica may have had an affair with Bethany's father, but a secret affair doesn't usually involve spending time riding horses with your lover's unstable children—especially when she's fighting you every step of the way.

9. Did Jessica know that Bethany’s body was in the tomb?

When Detective Holbrook asked to re-examine the body, Jessica insisted that it was Alison's body in the grave, which fans assumed was because Jessica was the one who buried her. But if Jessica knew Alison was alive, who would she think was in the grave? Did she know it was Bethany and not care?

10. Why does Jessica want Bethenny to call her Aunt Jesse?

More importantly, why does this make Bethany so angry?

11. Why did Melissa really bury Bethany?

Melissa was spotted talking to a blonde wearing a yellow top, but Alison said it wasn't her and Charlotte wasn't actually wearing the yellow top that night. Melissa also said she buried Bethany because she believed Spencer killed Allison and wanted to protect her secret. Is this true, or is it just another example of Melissa doing something shady for unknown reasons? And, if this is true, who is the girl in the yellow top?

12. Why is Bethany wearing that yellow top?

According to Charlotte, Jessica would buy her the same clothes she bought Alison so that when Bethenny stole Charlotte's clothes, she would end up wearing them and Alison was killed The top I wore that night. The yellow top is the reason why Bethenny is mistaken for Alison, but that's a huge coincidence, isn't it? The fact that Bethany ended up wearing what Alison was wearing couldn't be entirely accidental - there must be more to the story here.

By answering these questions about Bethany, we answer a lot of questions about the series. Hopefully season 7 will finally reveal everything about the most mysterious blonde.
