Kim Kardashian has a packed and busy schedule as always. Interestingly, Kardashian has taken two very different approaches to turning her fashion and beauty brands into the success they are today. For her signature line of shapewear, the star has opted for a "more is more" strategy and continues to release collections fronted by the industry's hottest stars (such as Sabrina Carpenter, Nicola Coughlan, Lana Del Rey and most recently Team USA), to name a few). By comparison, her beauty brand is much more minimalist, focusing instead on carefully curated products that are launched infrequently—which is why it's extra exciting every time a new product hits the market.

Here, the multi-talented superstar shares with Bustle her favorite shades from the new collection (and how they came to be), what she's currently working on, and more.
What lip gloss and highlighter colors are you using the most right now? Why?
For my lips, I've been using Lip Gloss from '03, which is a gorgeous neutral pink nude. For highlighters, I've been using a combination of Rose Glow (a pale pink champagne shade) and Honey Glow (a soft golden pearl shade) to create a really bright, radiant look.
What do you think makes SKKN by Kim lip gloss and highlighter unique in the current market?
Both lip gloss and highlighter highlight skin's natural radiance, and are formulated with ingredients to moisturize and comfort skin while adding shine and shine.

What is the testing process for new lip glosses and highlighters?
I'm a perfectionist, so the testing process was definitely extensive - I tried sample after sample to make sure all the little details were just right for both products.
My favorite thing during the testing process was when I would go out wearing these products and people would ask me what it was - it made me happy to know I was on the right path and sometimes helped me in between Make a sample selection.
What are your beauty tips for maintaining glowing skin on the go?
I love using masks when traveling, whether on a plane or in a hotel. This is part of my prep routine when I feel like my skin is looking a little dull so that I have a fresh, "I just had a facial" look wherever I go. I love my rejuvenating mask because it's a gentle exfoliant that harnesses the power of fermented pumpkin enzymes, glycolic acid, and lactic acid to help improve skin texture and tone.
What period of life are you in now?
I’m in the “Team Me” phase. Now that I'm in my forties, I realize it's okay to choose to do things that make you happy, like eating well, exercising, and having more fun with your family.
What is your dream role to play on screen?
I had a wonderful experience working with Ryan Murphy on American Horror Story , and I’m excited to continue working with him on an upcoming legal drama. I'm going to play a high-powered divorce lawyer, and because I'm in law school, it felt right to play that kind of character because I have that legal perspective. I loved being a lawyer in real life and playing a lawyer on TV.
What’s your favorite book you’ve read recently?
I've been reading a lot of scripts lately.
Which "soul city" do you feel most at peace with?
My house is honestly the place where I feel the most zen - it's my sanctuary and it gives me a peaceful place to come home to where I can decompress and recharge. I keep it clean and tidy, which creates a sense of calm and allows me to truly be in the moment.
