Olivia Rodrigo sings 'one of the best songs ever' with Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow and Olivia Rodrigo's September duet at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe went so well that they decided to do it again. After Crowe learned she would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she decided to invite Rodrigo to perform with her at a star-studded ceremony on November 3 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

It was another night to remember for Rodrigo, who later gushed about her luck on Instagram. "What an incredible honor to see @sherylcrow inducted into the @rockhall last night!" she wrote. "If it makes you happy, it's one of the best songs ever written and I'm lucky enough to be able to sing it with her to celebrate."

Youthful dream

Rodrigo, 19, was not yet born when If It Makes You Happy was released in 1996, but she has publicly acknowledged Crowe's greatness many times. After her performance at Bluebird Cafe, she shared in another Instagram post that Sheryl Crow's song is one of her "favorite songs of all time," calling Crow "the greatest song ever." She also said she was a "huge fan" when Crow presented her with the Woman of the Year award at the Billboard Women in Music event in March 2022.
