"I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing up) and the memories it brings back to me are filled with nostalgia and appreciation," Swift wrote on Instagram on July 7. Since the album's release, Swift has taken to Twitter to revel in her thoughts, reveling in the tracklist and analyzing everything from her exes she allegedly wrote about to changes in lyrics.
For example, fans discussed changes to lyrics in "Better Than Revenge" that might revive the moth meme. One fan who praised the new lyrics said, "I love Taylor Swift because he made this so much better than Revenge that I didn't even notice the lyrics change until the second time."
Dear John reportedly covered her relationship with John Mayer, but fans are still heartbroken.
The same goes for "Last Kiss," another devastating breakup song. Many listeners pointed out that her "shaky breaths" were missing from the 2023 re-recording, but that didn't change the song's emotional impact.
