Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's newborn baby's name reportedly revealed

Rihanna is now a mother of two. The Grammy winner has welcomed her second child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. TMZ first reported the birth on August 21, which was later confirmed by People magazine . On September 7, The Blast obtained the baby's birth certificate and revealed that the couple named their newborn Riot Rose Mayers, meaning he has the same initials as younger brother RZA. The certificate stated that he was born secretly at 7:41 a.m. on August 1 at Cedars-Senai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

While Rihanna and Rocky have yet to confirm any details about their newborn, she subtly confirmed the birth of her baby boy in an interview with Vogue to talk about the return of her Fenty x Puma collaboration. "This time, we expanded the creation to include kids because I selfishly wanted my kids to be able to wear everything their dad and I designed," she said.

RiRi's second pregnancy announcement ranks as one of the most iconic pregnancy news ever. The singer performed at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 12, her first performance in nearly five years. The show began with a close-up of Rihanna giggling, before the camera zoomed out to see her standing on a suspended platform above the audience, cradling her belly. After just minutes of speculation, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed she was pregnant with her second child.

RiRi and her boyfriend of nearly three years, Rocky, welcomed their first child, a son, in May 2022. The pair were photographed taking a walk in Harlem, New York, where the rapper grew up, announcing their first pregnancy and showing off her baby bump. The couple kept their child's name secret for a year until the Daily Mail obtained their son's birth certificate, which listed his full name as RZA Athelston Mayers, just before his first birthday. His name honors Wu-Tang Clan founder, producer and rapper RZA (pronounced "Rizza"), while his middle name comes from his father, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

In a March 2022 interview with Elle , Rihanna opened up about the type of parent she wants to be, citing two Real Housewives from Bravo as inspiration. "Heather Dubrow is so stylish as a mother," she said of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star . " Just love the way she lets her kids be themselves. That's really inspiring to me. But Teresa Giudice from New Jersey doesn't care about her kids. She'll put you down because of those kids . It resonated with me a lot because I felt like I was going to be the kind of mom that it was, and it was all over."
