Just days after the world learned his name, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's son RZA Athelston Mayers celebrated his first birthday. To mark the milestone, the boy's proud father officially confirmed the name and treated fans to a series of adorable family photos and videos with Rihanna, who is now expecting their second child. In addition to a sweet photo of RZA smiling on a blanket with his famous parents, A$AP also posted a few father-son photos, including one of him holding his "big head" while shaving.
The rapper's post earned likes in the comments section from Jaden Smith, Ty Dolla $ign, Miguel and Pusha T, confirming that he and Rihanna named RZA (pronounced "Rizza") after the Wu-Tang Clan frontman, and that his real The identity is that his name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs. "'WU TANG IZ 4 DA Churen' Happy 1st birthday to my first born. RZA," A$AP captioned the May 13 tribute, which also included founding member Ol' Dirty Bastard Clip of his breakdown speech on stage at the 1998 Grammys. The name was first made public when multiple outlets, including People, obtained his birth certificate on May 11.
Rihanna has also shared several photos of their son in recent weeks. The nine-time Grammy winner also shared a few Easter-themed photos of RZA on Instagram on April 20 before showing off her stylish son in a Fendi "Trouble" jacket. The pregnant "Diamonds" singer also joked in a video with her son earlier this month, "Look who doesn't want mommy to work out."

In March, Rihanna opened up about her "legendary" first few months as a mother in British Vogue's March 2023 issue. "It's everything. You really don't remember your life before and it's the craziest thing ever," she told the British publication. "You do try to remember it - and the pictures of my old life - but the feeling, the desire, the things you liked, everything, you just don't identify with it because you don't even allow yourself to mentally remember it ."It got to this point because...because it didn't matter. "
After revealing her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna also joked that RZA's unborn sibling has also "attended" high-profile events like the Oscars and this year's Met Gala. "It's very different from the first time," she said while sharing a pregnancy update on the red carpet at Entertainment Tonight . "No cravings. A lot of nausea. Everything is different, but I'm enjoying it. ... I feel It's great. I feel energetic." She also gushed that she was "in love" with RZA, adding, "I'm obsessed with it and I don't even feel guilty about it."
Meanwhile, A$AP chimed in, telling the outlet, "[He's] growing. Beautiful, happy baby." The latest photo of the "Praise the Lord" rapper RZA certainly confirms that sentiment.
