Taylor Swift's Eras tour was basically a rainbow, incorporating colors that represented all ten of her studio albums on the show. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Swift was sneaking in a bold hue not associated with any of her eras: orange.
Fans got more evidence that orange may soon be featured in Swift's work, thanks to the introduction of some new confetti during Swift's Eras Tour performance in Buenos Aires Important colors.
Orange Confetti Theory
As TikTok user @alexantonides pointed out, X fan account @swiftielatina spotted Swift adding orange confetti to the colorful confetti she used to mark the end of the concert.
Previously, Swift shared a photo of confetti from Swift's April 15 Eras Tour show in Tampa, which included only the colors of each of her ten albums: Taylor Swift ) (green), Fearless (yellow), Speak Now (purple), Red (red), 1989 (sky blue), Reputation (black), Lover (pink), Folklore (grey), Evermore (tan), and Midnights ( Navy blue).
There were no orange gifts at the time, but two fans who brought confetti home in Argentina posted photos proving the orange hue had been added to the collection six months later.
As most Swifties do, they tied it to Swift's long-rumored lost album , Karma . In a scene from the 2020 video for "The Man," the word "Karma" is painted in orange graffiti alongside the previous album she will be re-recording.
The new confetti further proves why fans think Swift may be planning to finally release the rumored abandoned album and use orange as its color scheme, joining previous instances of orange being used on the show.
How to use orange on the Eras Tour
As Swift sang "Karma," her final song of the night, her dancers emerged wearing sparkly jackets, all matching the colors of her era — except for the orange jacket. What's more, the dancers exited through a door at the back of the stage, which glowed with a bright shade of orange before the entire stage went black.
Additionally, earlier in the show, the infamous "Lover" house, which had color-coded rooms representing each era, was consumed by bright orange flames on screen.
While fans have linked orange to karma theory, it could also simply represent the color of Swift's next (non-"Taylor version") album, whatever that ends up being.
Regardless, all of Swift's Easter eggs suggest that orange symbolizes the future.
