Twitter is singing the same tune about Glastonbury festival headliners

Following last year's fantastic festival, which hosted the likes of Billie Eilish, Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar, music fans around the world We are all delighted to know that Glastonbury Festival will indeed be returning to Somerset's Worthy Farm in 2023. The first major act confirmed for this year's festival is that Sir Elton John will headline the legendary Pyramid Stage in what will be the final UK show of his final tour. On March 3, the final two headliners for the Pyramid Stage were announced as Arctic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses, while other big names including Lizzo, Blondie, Fatboy Slim, Lewis Capaldi and Lil Nas X were also confirmed to perform .

However, following the announcement of this year's much-anticipated Glastonbury festival, many were quick to point out the distinct lack of diversity in the all-white, all-male headline line-up - especially as the festival launches ahead of its 2023 festival ’s “Diversity Statement,” which reads: “We realize we can always do more to ensure we proactively embed diversity and inclusion into everything we do.”

"Glastonbury has a real problem attracting female headliners," one fan wrote on Twitter, noting that only four of the past 30 festival headliners have been women. "Having three all-white, all-male headliners is far from leading by example," another fan commented. "Yes, there is diversity on the bill, but the trio at the top of the pyramid is such a shame."

Meanwhile, others also shared their views that Lizzo "should headline Glastonbury," with one fan writing: "Love the line-up, but sad not to see Lizzo headline Friday of headlines. Arctic Monkeys has made headlines before. Give an amazing woman like Lizzo a chance."
