Britney Spears reveals aftermath of home fire in unseen photos

Britney Spears is remembering the day she burned down her gym.

On December 18, Spears took to Instagram to share a photo of her gym that accidentally caught fire three years ago.

"Reflection," she wrote in the caption. “Remember in 2020 I burned down the gym.”

Spears first revealed in April 2020 that she mistakenly set her gym on fire. At the time, the singer showed off her newly renovated fitness space on Instagram before sharing details of the incident.

"Hey guys, I'm at the gym right now. Unfortunately, I haven't been to her place in six months because I burned down my gym," she explained. "I had two candles - yes. One thing led to another and I burned it."

'It could be worse'

To shed more light on the fire, Spears explained that when she walked through the door of her home gym, the flames "BOOM!!!"

"By the grace of God, the alarm went off after that and no one was hurt," she continued. "It could have been a lot worse, so I'm grateful...I prefer to be outside exercising anyway."

Fans were quick to express their well wishes following the incident, with one commenting: "That must have been really scary! So glad you're okay."

another fire

This isn't the only time Spears has been in trouble for burning candles.

As E! In 2002, she nearly set a New York City apartment on fire after leaving a lit candle while shopping, according to news reports.

"Britt left a burning candle in front of the vent," Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, claimed at the time. "The wall is on fire and the fire brigade has to come and put it out."

"She really learned her lesson this time," Lynn continued. "I also love candles and I have to remind myself to be careful with them."
