The holidays are right around the corner, and according to Saturday Night Live 's Dec. 9 weekend update, it's time to start coming up with "thoughtful gift ideas for that special someone." Luckily for us, Chloe Fineman knows exactly what the "sexiest gift" is, and she's enlisting the help of '90s teen queen Julia Stiles Presentation was given to the audience.
The wacky segment begins with Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che, who invite Fineman to come out and share her thoughts. Although Jost wished she could join them at the desk, she stood at the desk ready to put on a show. And that's exactly what she did.
"The perfect holiday gift this year is Julia Stiles' dance at the end of the 2001 film Save the Last Dance ," she said. Despite Jost's hesitation, she revealed an outfit inspired by the finale scene and began performing an exaggerated dance routine.

As Fineman explains on Dance, the 2001 teen drama centers on Sarah Johnson (played by Styles), a promising young ballerina who is forced to leave after losing her mother. After being forced to move to the South Side of Chicago, he learned hip-hop. However, the film's "street ballet," as Fineman describes it, is... somewhat questionable. She captures its essence with gusto, but when Stiles makes a surprise appearance, the audience erupts in their biggest cheers.
Stiles bravely joins Fineman on the dance floor, wearing an outfit just like the one she wore during her fictional Juilliard audition. Together they recreated some of Stiles' choreography from over 22 years ago, and nostalgic fans loved it. One viewer called it "comedy gold" on X (formerly Twitter), while another wrote that they "loved the recognition of Save The Last Dance."
Others praised Styles for "having a hand in saving the Last Dance joke." The playful spoof made at least one viewer realize that "the thought of this plot was a little crazy." Still, Styles and Fineman's performances inspired people to revisit the film.
Nostalgic, Styles style
The SNL guest appearance isn't the only thing Stiles has brought back in recent days. Earlier this week, she attended the Mashable America Book Festival in New York City, where she reenacted a touching scene from 10 Things I Hate About You when her character Kate reads a song about her Lover Patrick (played by Heath Ledger).
Between reading and SNL dance performances, Styles is now keeping fans of '90s teen movies well fed.
