Renee Rapp's Unfiltered 'Mean Girls' Press Tour Is Totally Iconic

Celebrity press tours to promote new projects have become an art form in themselves, and Renee Rapp has mastered it in unexpected ways. The "Mean Girls" star's interview to promote the musical went viral on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) thanks to her unfiltered banter and unapologetic attitude.

While Rapp fully supported the project, speaking openly about what it was like to wear Regina George's heels, she also used the interview for her own agenda. From calling out a few men for their bad behavior to taking a shot at her celebrity crushes, Rapp isn't afraid to speak her mind no matter the time, place or occasion.

Even though they were caught off guard by her comments, fans praised Rupp for being so refreshing in the news cycle and joked that she didn't seem to have any public relations training. Some TikTok users even turned her interviews into memes, comparing her behavior to other celebrities' behavior during media interviews.

"I love that Renee Rapp has never had media training in her career and yet she still says the craziest things to the public in interviews," one fan wrote.

Her press tour has gotten so out of control that it's worth summarizing Rupp's most viral moments.

warning to friends

Buddy needs to sleep with one eye open. During a media interview, Rapp lost her temper at Buddy, who apparently owns a bus tour company, claiming he was "very disrespectful" to her mom, Denise, and friends Priscilla and Bella.

"He's such an asshole," she told the camera. "If you're watching this, I can't stand you and I hope your business takes off. You're so disrespectful and misogynistic. I hate you." Her co-star Chris Britney (Aaron Samuels) sat next to her and wanted nothing to do with the situation, hiding his face from the camera.

Megan Thee Stallion's*ss

In an interview with Extra , Rapp gushed about working with Megan Thee Stallion on the song "Not My Fault" for Mean Girls , which she has a lot of Something to say. For one, she can't stop talking about Meghan's butt. "Literally the best*SS I've ever seen in my life," she commented. "We were in dance rehearsal and I was like, 'Wow, this is incredible. I've actually never seen anything like this.'"

Rapp went on to mention Tory Lanez, who was found guilty of shooting Megan in the foot and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She gave another warning to all those who supported him. "I'm a true supporter of Meg and I hate the other man," she said. "I love Megan Thee Starling and if anyone tried to use her against that deplorable man, it would be a life or death battle for me."

The man who makes her smile

During a joint appearance on the "Today" show, the " Mean Girls" cast recounted the "ins and outs" of 2024, which Rapp used to send another message to the men who have offended her, including Golden Globes host Joe ·Coy.

"The first person I went out to yelled at me at 8 o'clock this morning and told me to smile and go to hell," she quipped. "The guy I'm knocking out is the guy who made fun of women at the Golden Globes." Sorry, guys, you can't sit with them.

Despite multiple warnings about men she didn't like during the "Mean Girls" press tour, there was one guy she couldn't help but gush about. During an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ," Rupp said she was starstruck after meeting "Shark Tank" judge Mark Cuban when she was 18, calling him "so cute" ”.

"I think he reminds me of my dad, and I just think he's precious, to be honest," she said. "I was gagged." Much to Colbert's dismay, Cuban's apparent penchant for wearing "inappropriately tight T-shirts" didn't ruin her fascination. In fact, she's even invited him to her show, which she hopes he'll accept soon. "He's coming," she says confidently, before telling the camera "I love you."

She has a crush on...Rachel McAdams

Even more understandably, Rapp also has a crush on Rachel McAdams, aka the OG Regina George. When Colbert asked her if she had any "notes" for the actor, she had just one request: "Go on a date with me?"
