Lisa Ann Walter Wants a 'Parent Trap' Sequel Starring Lindsay Lohan

Lisa Ann Walter is ready to team up with Lindsay Lohan for the sequel to The Parent Trap .

Walter, who played the beloved character Chessie in the 1998 film, revealed to People magazine that she would "absolutely" sign up for the second film. "I would love to go back and see another version of it," she told the magazine at the NAACP Image Awards on March 17.

This isn't the only time she's expressed interest in a follow-up. She and The Parent Trap co-star Elaine Hendrix (aka Meredith Black) told Bustle at the 2023 SAG Awards that they would "absolutely" make another movie .

Unfortunately, Walter told Parade in March 2023, "no one called" to discuss a second movie. But don't worry; she has other roles in mind for Lohan.

She previously revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Lohan would be her ideal guest star on the Emmy Award-winning sitcom "Abbott Elementary," where she plays teacher Melissa Chementi. "I guess we have to make her related because we're both redheads — because I'm a 'redhead' and she actually is," Walter joked. "I would be happy. It would be fun."

While neither The Parent Trap sequel nor the Abbott Elementary cameo have been confirmed, Lohan did recently confirm a sequel to another of her classic films: 2003's Freaky Friday .

"It's happening," Lohan recently shared on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live , adding that she and co-star Jamie Lee Curtis are "excited" for the long-awaited sequel.
