Jennifer Lopez Sends Sweet Message to Ben Affleck on SNL

Lately, watching celebrities involves a lot of lip-reading. Luckily, there's no reason to call in the experts to get the scoop on Jennifer Lopez's affectionate message to husband Ben Affleck and his family on the Feb. 3 episode of Saturday Night Live . Host Ayo Edebiri ended the show, and Lopez took a moment to deliver a short and sweet message to her loved ones.

Lopez performed "Can't Get Enough," her hit song with Lato and Redman, as well as "This Is Me...Now," which was the episode's musical guest. Both songs are from her latest album, This Is Me… Now , a love letter she wrote to Affleck after the pair reconciled in 2021 after nearly 20 years apart. As the closing credits of "Saturday Night Live" rolled, she seemed to have a more specific message for him.

Lopez looked directly into the camera and seemed to say, "I love you, baby." Next, she added, "I love you guys," presumably to the rest of their family. The pair have five children together: Max and Emmy, 15 (Lopez's twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony), Violet, 18, Serafina, 15, and Samuel, 11 el (Afffleck's trio with ex-wife Jennifer Garner). Her yelling occurs about 34 seconds into the clip below.

When Lopez and Affleck first got together, their relationship inspired much of her 2002 album This Is Me…Then . As she told Apple Music's Zane Lowe in November 2022, it "really captured the moment [she] fell in love with the love of [her] life." Likewise, she channeled their love into "This Is Me…Now." "The whole message of this album is that this love exists," she said. "This is true love."

Lopez gets vulnerable on this album—so much so that Affleck double-checked with her before she released it to make sure she wanted to put everything out there. "I was like, 'I don't know what else to do, baby,'" she recalled. Calling their new era "even better than the first," she said she wanted to "capture this moment in time."
