Gerry tells Teresa he'll propose to her before finale

Fans saw Gerry Turner propose to Theresa Nist on the final episode of The Bachelor on November 30. However, he revealed his proposal plans before the finale.

Turner told People magazine that he proposed to Teresa in the Fantasy Suite and it was "the first time I really seriously told her I loved her."

"It was almost an exciting announcement. I said three times in a row, 'Teresa, I love you. I love you, I love you,'" he recalled. "Then I said, 'I'm going to propose to you. I don't know if you're going to say yes, but I'm going to ask you."

Turner added that when it came time to film the final episode, he was "very confident that she was the one for me."

Teresa isn't sure

Going into the "Bachelor" finale, Teresa wasn't sure if she would be chosen over fellow finalist Leslie Fima, despite Turner's commitment to "Fantasy Suite."

"When she walked down the sidewalk, she didn't know if she was the first person to walk that path, or the second person, or the only person," he continued to People.

Meanwhile, Theresa told the outlet: "I never thought I was the only one... I was confident, but then, let's see, actually, if this is really happening."

Fantasy Suites Hotel Deal

Teresa also responded to Turner's comments about the importance of fantasy suites, revealing it was the first time she showed him her "true personality."

"When he offered me the fantasy suite card, I took it very enthusiastically because I really wanted to get into it," she tells People . "That's what we do."

Turner further revealed that after watching the episode of "Fantasy Suite," he called Teresa to express his love.

"After that episode, I called Teresa and I said, 'You know, I just watched myself fall in love with you,'" he added.
