Apple wants you to upgrade your old iPhone and is willing to offer you more trade-in credit to convince you to do so. Through June 3, Apple Stores (online and in-store) are offering higher trade-in prices when you trade in your old iPhone for a new one.

The promotion is available for iPhone 11 and newer models, but Apple continues to accept iPhone 7 Plus or newer models at the usual trade-in prices. Another thing to note is that you don't need to buy the latest iPhone 15 to trigger the trade-in credit boost; you just need to buy a newer iPhone than the one you're selling.

Although Apple advertises higher trade-in credit limits (ranging from $10 to $30), the final amount Apple offers you will depend on the condition of your phone. You'll earn a preliminary amount when you answer a few questions about the device, and Apple will issue you credits once it receives the device and confirms that its description of its quality is accurate.
