TikTok Users Are Exhibiting Embarrassing Hinge Replies and Content That Are Too Hilarious

If you've been on dating apps for a while, you've probably come across some pretty outrageous instant responses. And with Hinge’s voice prompts feature, you can actually hear the voices behind the ridiculous answers recount their most unique ideas. You might have wondered what the person on the other end looked like while recording the answer, but now you don't have to, thanks to a new trend of TikTokers making embarrassing Hinge replies.

The trend reached fever pitch on July 27 after Anna Turner (@turnerannac) posted a video of herself reenacting a voice prompt response. The prompt was "Together we could be terrible," to which the Hinge user responded, "Together we could be terrible at dancing. I love dancing and I'm not afraid to go out and dance. I don't know what I'm doing though, so I Might seem a little crazy, but if you're willing to do it, then yeah, I don't mind." If the answer itself doesn't make you sick, the creator's depiction of the other side certainly will. In the video, Turner donned a backwards hat and gave herself a floppy over-the-eye hairstyle that's sure to wow fans of OG Justin Bieber, before the user held up a red Solo cup and recited Got this sentence. Best of all, Turner gave the character the most fitting name: Brad Childs.

The creators made sure to give a shout-out to the "original girls" who started the trend, though it's unclear who exactly Turner inspired their renditions of.

Clearly, the content resonated with FYP, as as of September 12, the video has received over 132,100 likes and 1.1 million views. Users also praised the performer's accuracy via comments, with @bridgeteschuster commenting: "I'm so excited for this to become a trend." Luckily, Turner didn't let the user down, because it wasn't long before Brad ·Chad made a grand return.

This time, the TikToker cited a rant from a Hinge user who told him he looked like John Mayer or Jack Harlow and sounded like Bob from Bob's Burgers . For this performance, Turner kept his hat, hair and solo cup, and donned a flannel shirt.

Given the relevancy of these videos, it wasn't long before other users started joining the trend. After hearing her potential match's response to the prompt "Try and guess what I'm about," @stefanija couldn't pass up the chance to put on a snapback and a mustache on her face.

"I thought it would be fun for you to try and guess my intentions," the original poster said. "So, I'd love to share it here: My goal is to find someone I can grow with, enjoy the journey with, and ultimately make a forever commitment to action. I feel like that sounds like a lot. That's mine Values. ” On paper, this seems like a fairly innocuous response, but the way the creators treated every tone, laugh, and noise made this answer seem extra cringe-worthy.

User @harmonythread's reenactment was inspired by a response to the prompt, "One thing you should know about me is" the person claimed that anyone who gets them to do anything other than work and play video games is " Achievements. Apparently, the creator recited the character's words while gaming. There are several other Hinge reenactment videos on the user's profile, including one about geeky music that has been viewed more than 6.1 million times.

While sharing people's dating profiles isn't always a good idea, at least these Hinge users can take comfort in the fact that their answers made TikTok users laugh. Swipe, my friends.
