Brand new Blink Mini 2 plug-and-play smart security camera, HD color night view, built-in spotlight, two-way audioCompared with the first generation Blink Mini, the biggest upgrade is that it can be used indoors and outdoors. You can use the weatherproof camera outdoors if you buy the $9.99 Blink Weatherproof Power Adapter (the power cord in the Blink Mini 2 box is not waterproof). Field of view is now 143 degrees, compared to 110 degrees on the previous model. Video quality is also better in low-light environments, with a built-in LED spotlight for shooting color videos at night. In terms of hardware, the Blink Mini 2 now uses a custom chip, opening the door to new features like smart notifications and people detection. Now, as long as you have a Blink subscription plan (starting at $3 per month for one device, up to $10 for multiple devices), you can get notifications to find out if your camera detects a person, pet, or package.
The great thing about Blink is that you don’t need a subscription plan if you don’t want the features it comes with. With the Sync Module 2 ($49.99), you can use local storage without paying for cloud storage with a Blink subscription plan. Some sales bundles include Blink Mini 2 and Sybc Module 2. Keep in mind that you only get AI features with a Blink subscription.
