You can export iPhone contacts to vCard (VCF file) format through your iCloud account. vCard's VCF format resembles the look and feel of an online business card and is a standard address book format.
vCard files are an industry-standard contact file format supported by many programs, including Microsoft Outlook. This file type loads naturally into most contact lists, making it ideal for transferring contact information with minimal complexity.
On iPhone, tap Settings > Your Name > iCloud .
Turn on the contacts switch. If you turn this setting off, contacts on your device will not be synced with your iCloud account and cannot be exported to a file.
On your computer, open a web browser, go to iCloud, and sign in with your Apple ID.
You may need to use Apple's two-factor authentication to log in.
Select Contacts from the application list in the upper right corner.
Select a list and select one or more contacts.
Hold down the Shift key or Cmd+A while clicking to get the entire list. Control -click to select contacts one by one.
Click the Share icon and select Export vCard .
Select a name for the VCF file in the save dialog box and press Save .
If the application you want to import contacts into does not support the VCF format, use an online converter to convert the VCF file to a CSV file, such as the AConvert online conversion tool.
While there are multiple apps that handle this task, Export Contacts is free and has great reviews from users.
Download and launch the Export Contacts app on your iPhone.
Click Allow to let the app access your iPhone contacts.
Select the file format you want to export your contacts to: vCArd, CSV, or Excel. In this example, we will choose CSV .
Click Continue and Continue again to accept that the free version of Contact Pro can only export the first 100 contacts.
The free version of Export Contacts is ad-supported, so you may see ads throughout the process.
You will see a message stating that 100 contacts are ready. Click Export to download the file and choose your sharing method.
Transfer contacts from Android to iPhone using the Move to iOS app from Google Play. Another option is to use an Android SIM card. On your Android device, open Contacts and tap Settings > Import/Export > Export > SIM card > Insert SIM card in iPhone.
On iPhone, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > select your Gmail account, then open Contacts . If you haven't set up a Gmail account on your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Google > Enter your Gmail address and password, then open Contacts .
