Of all the already relatively low-priced smart speakers Amazon makes, the Amazon Echo Pop is the most affordable. Currently, the price is down to $19.99 (originally $39.99) after a 50% discount. Considering it still has the same features as more expensive Echo devices, the Echo Pop is a great value Alexa device, which is why it's my favorite Amazon deal today.

Amazon has done some great things with the Echo Pop. First, it's cheap, making it a good choice if you want to place Amazon devices in multiple rooms without spending a fortune. If you have an Eero mesh WiFi network, the Echo Pop can double as an Eero node to extend your internet. But it's not perfect.

Amazon needed to make a cut somewhere, and they decided to do so from the middle. Literally. The Echo Pop is essentially half of the fifth-generation Echo Dot, at least in terms of design. As expected, the smaller speaker isn't as loud as the Echo Dot. According to PCMag's "Excellent" review of the Echo Pop, it has noticeably weaker bass and doesn't have a touch or temperature sensor like the Echo Dot. If those things are important to you, the Echo Dot is now only $8 more expensive than the Echo Pop. If you just want a cheap and capable Alexa device, the Echo Pop will suffice.
