Dell's ongoing sale ends on March 31, but there are still plenty of laptop deals to take advantage of. If you're on the hunt for a new laptop, I've rounded up my top three picks from the sale that you should consider.
Dell XPS 13 for $599
XPS 13 Laptop (2022)Launched in 2022, the Dell XPS 13 is a thin and light portable laptop starting at $999. Dell's XPS line has been trying to perfect affordable portable laptops, and when the new 2023 XPS 13 launched, it forced the 2022 version to drop the price to $799, but now you can pick it up for $599 . The 2022 version is a decent laptop for most people who want to perform day-to-day computing tasks and streaming, but it's not suitable for heavy media editing or gaming. It is a 13.4-inch laptop with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, a Core i5-1230U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.
Inspiron 16 laptop costs $599
Inspiron 16 laptopIf portability is more important to you, consider the Inspiron 16 laptop. As the name suggests, this is a larger 16-inch laptop, which means it's less portable, but it still has solid battery life of up to 13 hours (12 hours on the XPS). The Inspiron 16 also has twice the storage and RAM, 512 GB and 16 GB respectively. Most other specs are about the same, with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a Core i5-1335U processor.
Alienware x16 gaming laptop for $1,599.99
Alienware x16 gaming laptopIf you're looking for a good deal on a gaming laptop, consider the 2023 Alienware x16, which is $700 off. Like other laptops on this list, this model is cheaper as it has been replaced by the newer Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop. But as our friends at PCMag will tell you, this is still a "good" gaming laptop. The x16 features a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a refresh rate of 480Hz, a Core i7-13700H processor, 16GB of RAM, a 2TB SSD, and an RTX 4060 GPU.
