You can buy crispy slippers from Warburtons that are as delicious as your breakfast

This year, treat yourself to a cozy little Christmas with the Warburtons, who just made their own muffin slippers. 'Tis the season of novelty, so these are the perfect gift for fans of one of Britain's favorite breakfast foods. Not only that, but all proceeds from the sale of these foot warmers will be donated to an important cause. Well, here's where to buy Warburtons Crispy Slippers.

Unsurprisingly, the first slippers sold like hot waffles and are now hard to come by. You can order them on the official website for £19.99, but you may have to wait a while before the next batch is ready. All sizes (from XS to L) are currently sold out, and the site tells customers to "check back tomorrow" to see if your size is restocked. Responding to a customer on the Warburtons Twitter account, the baking brand also said their "Christmas elves are busy baking another batch" and to "please keep your eyes open".

If you manage to slip on a pair, you'll be delighted to know that all proceeds will go directly to FareShare, the UK's largest food charity. “As we enter what has been some of the most difficult months for those in need, FareShare’s incredible work fighting hunger is an obvious partner and we are proud to be donating all proceeds from sales of the slippers to such an A worthy cause," chairman Jonathan Warburton said in a press statement.

FareShare says that for every pair sold, "the equivalent of 64 meals will be donated to those who need it most during the holidays." Proceeds from these sales will enable the charity to distribute 85,000 free meals.

Lindsay Boswell, CEO of FareShare, said: “Providing quality, nutritious food to vulnerable people has never been more important and this donation will make a huge difference to the communities we support. “ We are very grateful for Warburton’s support.”

Food poverty in the UK has been a frequent topic in the news recently due to Marcus Rashford's free school meals campaign. Earlier this year, the footballer also partnered with FareShare to help provide meals to vulnerable people during the first lockdown.
