If you're looking to take your love of cheese to the next level, this is the calling you're looking for: Cheese chip snack company Whisps is looking for people to join its Whisps Cheese Board. Again for the cheese lovers out there: You can get paid to eat cheese. Clean up those resumes, cheese fans, your dream job is waiting.
Starting on June 24 (the aptly named National Cheese Day), Whips sets out to find the next "big cheese." As a member of the Whisps Cheese Committee, you will assist with monthly product quality testing (aka "eating cheese"), evaluating new flavors (aka "eating cheese"), and brainstorming new product ideas (aka "thinking about new cheeses") ) and served as a member of Whisps. Brand Ambassador (aka Talking Cheese).
Selected winners will receive classic Whisps Cheese Chip flavors delivered to their door every month, as well as a few secret flavors sent throughout the year. They will receive a quarterly selection of cheese boards from popular artisanal cheese retailer Murray's Cheese, as well as cheese wheels from Whisps' exclusive cheese supplier. In addition, they will receive $5,000 in cash.
In other words, you'll get $5,000 to eat cheese, talk cheese, think cheese, and get a bunch of free cheese. Still my gooey heart.
If that's not enough to compensate for your dedication to cheese, you can also get free entry to the 2022 World Cheese Championships, an event that apparently already exists and hosted its 33rd Biennale in March 2020. You'll get training from artisan cheesemakers on how to evaluate cheese. You'll learn how to create the ideal cheese board from the experts at Murray's Cheese. You'll even receive Whisps swag and gear to really wear your cheesy heart on your sleeve.
Based on the job description, here are some requirements for potential candidates:
- Become a “real cheese fanatic”
- Experience in teamwork and work
- Not working for a competing cheese company (looking at you, Cheez-its)
- whispers of love
No formal cheese training or previous cheese experience is required. If you're selected, Whisps will take you up to speed on the ins and outs of the world of cheese.
