You might remember the Negroni sbagliato as the drink everyone was talking about, but now a new Campari drink is going viral on TikTok and it might be Emma D'Arcy's drink of choice 's low-key cousin. Known as the "Spaghett," this drink delivers major aperitif flavor and is super easy to make, so if you're ready to kick off summer with a brand new cocktail, here's what you need to know.
Cocktail craze is starting to kick off at FYP when Hailee Catalano (aka @cafehailee) whipped up a cocktail on April 12 to celebrate the first summer-like day of the year. The founders explain that they "crave for this drink" whenever the weather warms up, and it's no surprise—the spaghetti made with Miller High Life and an ounce of Campari is refreshingly carbonated and bitter citrus a mixture of. As if that wasn't satisfying enough, the TikToker also said they prefer adding a little grapefruit to the drink for a sweeter, more fruity flavor. The added juice turns the drink a "bloody orange" color that's sure to prompt your followers to ask what you're drinking.
"It's like a beer Sprite," Catalano said, before comparing it to a Negroni. After taking a sip, the creator called the drink "divine" and considered it perfect for spring and summer.
Even if you don’t like beer, don’t let that stop you from trying pasta. In the video, Catalano admits, "I don't really like beer, but I like this," so if that doesn't prove how good this drink is, I don't know what does.
If this sip sounds familiar, you've probably tried it by a different name. According to the comments section, other names for spaghetti include Brosé, Nascar Spritz, or Nascar Negroni. How is each name better than the last?
If you don't have liqueur on hand, you can also swap out the Campari for grenadine (Dirty Sherry Negroni, anyone?). Creator @justalexbennett tried this method, sprinkling it with lemon juice, and the results were so impressive that the user claimed in the caption that it was "probably a top 3 drink."
"It tastes like a very dry Aperol Spritz," the TikToker said. "It's kind of like the 'zing' of a beer - with a glass of ice, it's even better than Aperol Sprite." Now that's an endorsement.
