You can now buy Ben & Jerry's for your dog

Nothing says a cozy night in like a good movie and some ice cream. Now, your pet will be able to share in the benefits of self-care because Ben & Jerry's has developed some sweet treats for dogs. They're so luxurious, served in a cup that resembles a human version of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

The new dog dessert line from the Vermont-based ice cream brand is available in two different flavors and was developed with canine health in mind. Ben & Jerry's reportedly worked with veterinary nutritionists to ensure the treats are safe and easy to digest.

The first flavor is pumpkin with cookies and the second flavor is peanut butter with pretzels. They're made from the same ingredients Ben & Jerry's uses in its non-dairy human desserts. The packaging of their puppy Desert is very similar to the Ben and Jerry's human options - so make sure not to confuse them!

Speaking about the development, Ben & Jerry's global marketing specialist Lindsay Bumps said people had spent more money on treating animals over the past year as they struggled during lockdown Always good company. "This is an opportunity for people to treat their dogs like they would treat themselves to a pint off the shelf," she said.

U.S. customers can purchase Ben & Jerry's dog treats on the Ben & Jerry's website or in select supermarkets and pet stores. However, there's no word yet on when dogs in the UK will be able to get their own ice cream.
