Cheez-It launches new limited-edition boxed wine

If you're less "riesling and raclette" and more "box of wine and a bag of crackers," you'll want to sit down. In honor of National Wine and Cheese Day on July 25, Cheez-It and House Wine are teaming up to launch a limited-edition Cheez-It and wine combo box. If you heard anything, it’s that I canceled all plans for the foreseeable future.

Cheez-It has teamed up with House Wine to launch a new limited-edition box that brings together the most iconic of signature combinations: wine and cheese. (Yes, cheese crackers count as cheese. It’s 2020 and anything goes.) Following the success of last year’s Cheez-It and wine boxes (featuring original Cheez-It and red concoctions), they decided to launch a The very-anticipated sequel: the Cheez-It white cheddar and house rosé wine box. Keep my drunken, cheesy heart.

Now, let’s talk drink specifics. How much wine is in the combo box? Four full bottles equal approximately 20 glasses of wine. In other words, you'll have plenty to share...or plenty to spend a few enjoyable hours on your own.

The wine and Cheez-It combo box will be officially released on July 23 at 2pm ET. Last year, the box sold out within minutes, according to an emailed press release. If you're interested in this new wine and Cheez-It combo box, you'll want to set multiple alarms to order as soon as possible. You can order Cheez-It White Cheddar & House Wine Rosé boxes on the House Wine website.

Each box of White Cheddar Cheez-It and Rosé will cost $29.99, up a few bucks from last year's $25 box. For context, a box of house wine typically costs $21.99. At stores like Target, a box of Cheez-Its sells for $2.99. This means that when you buy a combo box, you don’t really save any money. (In fact, you're spending about four bucks more.) However, you can save yourself the hassle of hitting the cookie aisle and thus avoid panic-buying every other cheesy, salty snack you see. So, in a sense, you are saving yourself some cash.

Not a fan of rosé or white cheddar? First of all, how dare you. Second, don't be afraid, because you can actually pair any box of Cheez-Its with any box of wine. If you're a red wine lover, try a box of original Cheez-Its and House Wine's Red Blend. More of a white wine drinker? Cheez-It recommends pairing Extra Toasty Cheez-Its with a box of Sauvignon Blanc. (Does it have to be a box? No, but it's more fun this way.)

From there, the world is your wine and cheese oysters.
