It's time to dust off that chunky knit scarf, light the candles, and re-watch Gilmore Girls because pumpkin spice season is right around the corner. Starbucks' iconic Pumpkin Latte (PSL) is now back on the menu, along with a few other treats. First up, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is already a hit in the US and is now available in UK stores for the first time.
This drink is made from Starbucks cold brew coffee, brewed in small batches and steeped for 20 hours to create a rich, smooth coffee. It's then infused with a little vanilla and topped with pumpkin cream foam, where the vanilla cream is foamed and mixed with pumpkin spice sauce for an ultra-creamy texture. and done? It's sprinkled with pumpkin spice, which adds extra flavor from cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. We imagine if it were a drink, this is exactly what fall would taste like.
Both PSL and its cold brew coffee can be ordered in-store, or you can order on the delivery app of your choice. Prices start at £3.80 for the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and £3.65 for the Classic PSL. Fans of fall classics will be happy to know that the Iced Salted Maple and Caramel Latte are back this year as well.
As for snack options, foodies may want to try the new toffee and apple waffles or the espresso roasted blondies. The full menu can be viewed on the brand's website.
Starbucks' seasonal drinks have developed quite a following over the years, with celebrities including Taylor Swift professing their love for pumpkin spice. In October 2021, Swift took to Tumblr to recreate a post she had shared back in 2014 about how much she loves fall (or fall, if you're in the US). The "Blank Space" singer proudly notes that she doesn't care "when people make fun of pumpkin-flavored stuff because you love it and you're glad it's a hit." Well, we'll cheer for that.
