Beyoncé's Super Bowl Hairstyle Is Very Familiar

Back in 2013, Beyoncé dominated the Super Bowl halftime show, assisted by her former Destiny's Child bandmates. At the 50th Super Bowl, Beyoncé served as a guest performer, wearing long curly blonde hair. Her tresses are very familiar, as this year's Super Bowl follicle vibe isn't all that different from the defined, caramel-kissed waves she opted for three years ago.

On Sunday night, Bey filled in the support slot, making guest appearances with her friends from Coldplay. Well, at least she was billed as a featured performer, but she definitely stole the show with her flowing and eye-catching headscarf.

During her headlining performance in 2013, her hair was brown and wavy. This time, Bey opted for long, blonde, center-parted, super-curly natural hair. Her spiral tresses actually reminded me of the style she often sports when posting vacation family photos on Instagram. You know – effortless glamour!

Her golden tendrils are extra long, and her hair color matches the gold chain in her black leather ensemble. It was certainly a coordinated performance, with nothing left to chance.

Let's take a look at Bey's wild, legendary hairstyle from her 2016 Super Bowl appearance.

Don’t mind if your hair is big!

This is her hair from her 2013 Super Bowl performance. It's just as long and luxurious, but it's definitely more wavy than curls and blonde highlights.

It's like her 2016 look, both her headpiece and overall look, is a sexy update of her 2012 look.

Thanks to her trusty glam team and tools like extensions, Bey often cycles through dozens of hijab styles throughout the year. Bangs? Huge waves? Elf? Super long extension? These are Bey's popular hairstyles. The singer, actress, and girlboss girl always keeps us guessing, and I'm excited to see what she brings to the table when she returns to the competition stage.

She did not disappoint. But then again...did she ever ?
