For some zodiac signs, whenever they are upset, the first thing they think of is to block someone. Blocking is a way of sending a message that they are angry and need some space, but it can also be a permanent way to remove you from their life.
According to astrologer Stina Garbis, the zodiac signs that turn others off the fastest tend to have a mix of strong emotions, a "don't mess with me" vibe, and tremendous confidence. "It takes a lot of courage to stop someone immediately and quickly," she tells Bustle.
In comparison, she said other zodiac signs take a long time to get to this point. For example, Aries is the type who texts and calls back and forth constantly. They always have a lot to say and want to save their relationship.
Meanwhile, other signs, like Aquarius or Pisces, don't even know there's a block button on their phones, but it's not in their nature to use it anyway. They either don't care enough or think it's mean.
Here are the zodiac signs that are holding you back the fastest, according to astrologers.
Libra (September 23-October 22)
While Libra is a carefree sign and has friends wherever they go, that doesn't mean they won't hold you back.
Libra is represented by the Scales, so they are constantly weighing the pros and cons of all relationships. "That's why, if you meet a Libra or don't treat them right, they're likely to cut you off pretty quickly," Garbis says.
They are also ruled by Venus, which means they value love and friendship above all else. If they sense you don't have their best interests at heart, they'll get caught up in their emotions and hit the block button.
As an air sign, they may be quick to block, but they're also quick to unblock, especially when they've had time to calm down and analyze the situation. This could be because they decided to give you a second chance, but most likely it's because they want to see if you're coming after them -- or are ready to apologize.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)
If a Scorpio senses negative energy, their first reaction will be to protect their own calm. As water signs, they feel their feelings deeply, so it doesn't take much to cut people out of their lives, Garbis said.
They are also ruled by the distant planet Pluto, which means they themselves are very happy. If you're not the right fit for them, or you're trying to control them or be aggressive, a Scorpio will set strict boundaries by blocking you on every platform - text messages, Instagram, TikTok, you name it. They might even change their phone number.
Many times, Scorpios will block a toxic partner or a bad friend so they can heal and move on, but other times, they will do it during an argument as a way of sending a message. "Being a scorpion with a stinging tail, they will get in people's way just to hurt them," Garbis said. "They like to have the final say."
Once on the blacklist, you cannot come back. According to Gabis, Scorpios are confident enough to break off relationships, especially for their own well-being.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Capricorns give off a strong "don't mess with me" vibe, Garbis said. Once they decide to end a friendship or relationship, they hit the stop button and move on, usually rolling their eyes.
"For Capricorns, true self-esteem gives them the ability to shut others down so quickly," she says. This is thanks to their ruler Saturn, which represents responsibility and control. They don't have the time or patience to deal with chaos, so they block anyone who brings them down or causes them stress.
As an earth sign, they like to keep the peace, but they also don't want anything to get in the way of their success. For example, if their phone is blowing up with messages from their ex, they'll block it so they can focus.
They'll block old friends, crushes, Hinge matches, exes, and even family members, and they'll do it quickly. While some signs will stop others if they have to, Capricorn will stop you without hesitation.
