Regardless of your lies in the #TeamBig vs. #TeamAidan debate, Carrie Bradshaw has one true love, and his name is Manolo Blahnik.
The New York columnist has always had a passion for designer shoes, but she especially cherishes her long-standing relationship with the famed brand. After six seasons of boyfriends and an unhappy marriage, her love affair with Manolo heels has stood the test of time.
In fact, the brand is so special to her that it played a key role in her true love story. If you remember, Big wore a pair of royal blue satin Manolo pumps when he proposed to Carrie (for the second time). She wore the same high heels to their courthouse wedding and eventually became the eldest lady. In the second season of Just Like This , Carrie once again wore the famous style for another happy moment, this time with her ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw.
The long-awaited reunion finally happened on this week's episode. Carrie took the first step and emailed her ex-lover. After years of separation (not including that kiss in Abu Dhabi), the two planned to meet up. Of course, Carrie dressed "for the occasion." She donned a long-sleeved maxi dress covered in navy flowers and paired it with a cream wrap coat and aqua clutch.
As always, the superstar of her look was the shoes. She donned a pair of sparkling Manolo Blahnik Hangisi heels, the exact same style she wore when she married Big. This time, the pointed-toe heels were coated in champagne glitter.
Although the colors and textures differ greatly, both pairs feature Hangisi's famous crystal-encrusted buckles.
The men in her life may change, but Manolos is forever.
