There are few movies in this world that have left me so shocked that I can't speak afterwards. Usually, these romance stories rip my heart out and put it in a blender. But there was one movie that left me completely speechless and made me cry because of how wonderful it was. Finding Nemo has everything I want in a movie - a great plot, great characters, and offbeat jokes (the only thing it doesn't have is Chris Evans...). So when I heard that Finding Dory was getting a sequel, I was delighted. How could I not be? Who wouldn't want to jump back into the ocean and join Marlin, Nemo, and Dory on their adventures, especially considering how great the voice cast in Finding Nemo is?
If you're unfamiliar with the upcoming film, Finding Dory is the highly anticipated follow-up to Disney Pixar's 2003 hit. This time, it's Dory who's missing, not Nemo - well, it's not so much that she's missing, but that she suddenly remembers her family, so she sets off on a journey to find them. Of course, Marlin assumed the worst, so he and Nemo teamed up to search the seven seas for their beloved Dory. Along the way, Dory, Marlin and Nemo all meet some familiar faces, but also some new ones. In addition to old characters such as "Crush" and "Mr. Ray", there will be many new characters roaming the screen. New characters mean new actors to voice them. So, here’s what you need to know about all the voice actors in Finding Dory 2 .
Ellen DeGeneres
DeGeneres returns to "Finding Nemo" to once again voice the beloved protagonist. There is no doubt that the comedian will make this cute and funny fish disappear from the screen again.
albert brooks
Brooks once again brings the marlin to life as everyone's favorite neurotic clownfish. When Dory goes missing, Marlin races to find his short-term memory friend before trouble strikes.
Diane Keaton
Keaton, who is new to the ocean, will voice the character Jenny, aka Dory's mother. I just hope this character appears in something other than flashbacks. As for Dory's father, he's voiced by none other than...
Eugene Levy
No stranger to playing father figures ( American Pie , anyone?), Levy was the perfect choice to voice Dory's father, Charlie. Keaton and Levi together? Talk about a power couple.
Ed O'Neill
No one plays a lovable curmudgeon better than O'Neal. In Finding Dory , the actor will take on the screen role of Hank, a (what else?) grumpy octopus who lost one of his tentacles and was relegated to the status of a heptapod. I haven't seen this movie yet and Hank already has me in tears.
Ty Burrell
Adding O'Neal's "Modern Family" co-star Burrell to the cast was a smart move in itself, but casting him in "Finding Nemo" might be the greatest thing I've ever heard. Burrell will likely bring the laughs as Bailey the White Whale.
Idris Elba
The world is praying for Elba to play James Bond. But until that day comes, he will transform into Fluke the Sea Lion and swim with our sailing friends.
Dominic West
Every sea lion needs a partner, and West fills that void. His character voices the sea lion Rudder and will likely appear on screen alongside Elba's Fluke. Not a bad pairing, if I do say so myself.
Caitlin Olson
Since Finding Dory is about Dory's search for her family, it was only natural that they introduce Dory's best friend. Olsen will voice Destiny the whale shark, Dory's best friend since childhood. I can't wait to see these two reunite on screen.
Bill Hader
No great film is complete without Hader. At least, that's what I think. Luckily, he'll be showing off his smooth voice as Ned in "Finding Dory."
Kate McKinnon
In between killing ghosts, McKinnon lent her voice to Inez, a new character in the Finding Nemo universe.
I thought it might take me a minute to recover from the incredible cast voicing what I'm sure will become beloved characters. Looking at all the amazing talent assembled for Finding Dory 2 , one thing is clear: Pixar isn't messing around. Guys, get ready to laugh, cry, and embrace a new favorite movie because with a cast like this, Finding Dory is sure to be amazing.
