Bridgerton fans have been patiently awaiting the return of the Netflix series, but many viewers are finding the latest Season 3 release date theory rather disturbing.
Some fans on Reddit claim to have received emails from bookstores informing them that Netflix's official Bridgerton Series 3 tie-in book , Romancing Mr. Bridgerton , will be hitting shelves in May 2024.
One Reddit user pointed out that tie-in books "usually release around the same time as the new season," so the book's updated release date suggests that Bridgerton Season 3 will be later than originally expected — much to the dismay of many .
"The Netflix tie-in book has been pushed back from December 2023 to May 2024. So, Season 3 could launch in April or May next year," one Reddit user said of this viral theory.

Fans pointed to Netflix's Tudum: Global Fan Event in 2022, expressing disappointment that Bridgerton Season 3 was teased more than a year ago and doesn't yet have a release date.
“What sick joke did they make while promoting Bridgerton on Tudum a year before it came out?” one user commented on Reddit, while another chimed in: “I haven’t seen Queen of Charlotte yet, So it's harder for me to go between seasons."
Fans predict different launches
Some Bridgerton fans also predict that Netflix will experiment with different episodes in future seasons, airing one episode per week instead of all at once.
Many viewers seemed excited about the rumored changes, with one viewer writing that they missed "discussing and predicting storylines as they come up, rather than everyone being in a different place."
However, not everyone is so convinced. "If a show aired every week, most people would either forget about it or wait to watch it in its entirety," another Reddit user added.

While the exact release date for Bridgerton Season 3 is still up in the air, executive producer Shonda Rhimes said in April that filming and editing were now complete, leaving many fans concerned. There is hope that Season 3 will be released in 2023.
