Fool Me Once Fans Are Shocked by 'Jaw-dropping' Ending

"Fool Me Once" has quickly become a must-see new Netflix series since its premiere on January 1, and its shocking ending has fans talking.

The series is adapted from Harlan Coben's best-selling novel of the same name and tells the story of widower Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) as she copes with her husband Joe Burkett (Richard Armitage). The story of being murdered.

While searching for answers to her late husband's death, Maya also comes to terms with the murder of her sister, Claire Walker (Natalie Anderson), which also remains unsolved. Major spoilers ahead.

bombshell ending

The tense ending of "Fool Me Once" reveals that Maya murdered her husband after discovering he was responsible for her sister's death. Joe killed Claire because she was investigating his family's company, Lambur Pharma, which was involved in a medical scam.

In retaliation, Joe's brother Neil Burkett (James Northcote) later shoots Maya and broadcasts her murder live for the world to see.

Of course, fans took to social media to discuss the show's shocking ending, with many still shocked by the "jaw-dropping" ending.

The popularity helped "Fool Me Once" reach the top of Netflix's UK streaming charts and is currently in the top 10 of the US streaming charts.

Michelle Keegan recently commented on the show's success. "I feel like I'm in a dream right now," she wrote on Instagram.
