Beyoncé performs Canadian tuxedo, cowboy Carter style

While Beyoncé's love of Western styles came full circle with her "Cowboy Carter" album, the "Diva" singer has been riffing on the classic Canadian tuxedo for decades. In the 2010s, that meant a denim jacket paired with a matching pencil skirt, and last year, her denim-on-denim look was totally Renaissance -inspired (read: dazzling.)

Now she's in full-on denim phase, and so is her obsession with denim. A typical example is: She only wears jeans recently, with a clear Western flavor.

Beyoncé's stunning Canadian dress

For Miss Cowboy Carter, the West is more than just an album theme, it's a way of life. Her country girl cosplay continues on Wednesday, May 1st. It's the perfect embodiment of her various style sensibilities: bold, diva style, with a tingle of the West.

Her outfit began with a sheer baby blue turtleneck top that matched the pale wash hue of her fit. She tucked it into a pair of tiny denim shorts, reminiscent of the tiny pair she wore in the iconic "Crazy Love" music video.

The rest of her look included sheer leggings in the same light blue color and baggy thigh-high boots (also in denim). She finished the look with a denim piece: a floor-length coat with fur-trimmed sleeves.

her western accessories

If the 27 songs on "Cowboy Carter" aren't enough proof of just how serious Beyoncé is about her new country music phase, her latest outfit should be. One thing that Western fashion is really good at is accessories. Cowboy hats, boots, bolo ties, turquoise – you name it, she’s worn it.

Her latest accessory mix includes a turquoise bolo tie with a horse motif (the theme of her recent album cover). She also wore a black leather belt with a large silver buckle with a bull design on it.

Her glittery makeup and honeycomb

Even with her eye makeup on, she stuck to denim shades. She donned matching shimmery blue eyeshadow and styled her hair into a giant honeycomb — a possible nod to her namesake fanbase.

She is, quite literally, the blueprint.
