MAC's signature red lipstick comes in a non-matte version

Few beauty products achieve as iconic status as MAC Ruby Woo Retro Matte Lipstick. Favored by celebrities like Rihanna, Tracee Ellis Ross and Taylor Swift, the bright cherry color is incredibly flattering and versatile; what else needs to be done to improve an already perfect product? The answer is: of course, make more with different finishes. On Thursday, January 13, MAC expanded its Ruby Woo collection with the launch of two new products: Ruby You and Ruby Do.

If you're not a fan of matte red lipstick, your eyes will look completely new. Both new additions to the Ruby Woo collection feature a satin semi-shiny finish and are housed in a sleek gradient metal case.

If you're looking for a luscious red liquid lipstick, consider Ruby Do. Although richly pigmented, this creamy lip gloss is lightweight and delivers Ruby Woo's famous coveted blue-red color in just one swipe. It also contains nourishing skincare ingredients like argan and coconut oils, shea and carnauba oils, and barley and cucumber extracts. Plus, the staying power is very strong, with the color lasting up to 12 hours.

But if you're looking for a cream lipstick, look no further than Ruby You. It's formulated with Argan Oil to deliver flawless color payoff and moisturize lips all day long. It's silky smooth and super lightweight.

While MAC's Ruby Woo retro matte lipsticks have been around for decades, it wasn't until late 2021 that it got its own line: Ruby's Crew. The release launches the brand's OG lipsticks as well as Ruby New, Ruby Boo and Ruby Phew. These newly launched products are well received and will surely become classics.
