Miley Cyrus captured the world's attention this year with "Flowers," a self-love anthem that alluded to the breakdown of her marriage to ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Fans were fascinated by the saga and spun viral conspiracy theories based on the lyrics and music video, which helped keep "Flowers" at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks (the song's catchy Catchy hooks and empowering mantras don’t hurt either).
Cyrus' album Endless Summer Vacation , released on March 10, features more songs that seem to provide more insight into their breakup, such as the album's third single "Jaded," which released a new music video on May 16, shows Cyrus' exes what they're missing.
"Jaded" Lyrics See Cyrus Saying Sorry
On "Endless Summer ," Cyrus follows "Flowers" with another breakup song: "Jaded," in which she takes responsibility and offers several forms of apology. The second pre-chorus may date back to Hemsworth, as she sings, "You broke your own arm, but you'd never say that." He was rumored to have broken his arm in 2015, when he was spotted He went to the doctor with his wrist and forearm in a cast. This happened after he and Cyrus first broke up in late 2013, but considering how well they got back together in late 2015, it's possible they were still in touch at this point.
"Bored" opens with her acknowledging how long it's been since her relationship ended, again opening up the possibility of Cyrus mentioning the "Hunger Games" star. "Now I have time to think about it," she sings. "We're too old and our bones are too big to bury." She also hints at their eventual reunion by singing, "Always say goodbye, but you never unpack," but as she gets into the chorus, she just Feel sorry for the rubble left behind when you die. "I'm sorry to bore you," she sings. "I could have taken your place. You're alone right now and I hate it."

Cyrus' "Jaded" music video, which premiered on May 16, does not explicitly mention Hemsworth or any relationship for that matter. If anything, Cyrus just showed everyone what they were missing out on, rolling around half-naked on the bed, frolicking around the house (no, not the "Flowers" kind), and wearing all sorts of mind-blowing outfits The stunning look included a sparkly gold swimsuit paired with a sparkly black crop top. Like the "Flowers" video, it's a confident and empowering clip that makes it clear that Cyrus' first priority is herself — even if this time the song's lyrics are a little sad.
I don't want to talk on the phone for too long
I know I was wrong, but I never said sorry
Now I have time to think about it
We are old and our bones are too big to bury
Isn't it a pity that it ended like this?
Goodbye forever but you never unpacked
We went to hell and never came back
Sorry to bore you
I could have taken your place
You're lonely now and I hate it
Sorry to bore you
You don't even want to watch your own role
You just hop in your car and head to the bar until you're a blur
Don't know when to stop, so you go too far
I don't know where you are, I'm left in the dark until I worry
oh it pains me
It's such a shame that it ended like this.
You broke your own arm but you would never say that
We went to hell and never came back
Sorry to bore you
I could have taken your place
You're lonely now and I hate it
Sorry to bore you
I'm not going to lie, it's not easy
when someone new comes to you
I'll change my number but keep your t-shirt
I don't mind if it gets torn and faded
Sorry to bore you
I could have taken your place
You're lonely now and I hate it
Sorry to bore you
Sorry to bore you
"Foots of Clay" Lyrics Focus on Hustlers
Cyrus doesn't mince words in "Mud Feet," telling the story of a dirty liar who "always questions my doubts" and smells like a perfume she didn't buy. “I don’t know who the hell you think you’re kidding,” she sings. "Get that shit out of my house, get that shit out of my life." Considering Cyrus made it clear after announcing their divorce in August 2019 that cheating was not the end of their marriage, it was discussed. Feet of Mud" probably doesn't belong to Hemsworth. But if someone really burned Cyrus that badly, you'd better run away.
While there are no Hemsworth references found in track 9, "Muddy Feet" does contain a few other Easter eggs. Whether you can hear it or not, the song is clearly a sample of Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle." Co-writer Sia is also featured - albeit only in the credits, where she lets out a bunch of "wows," "ohs," and "ums."
I don't know who you think you're messing with.
Get the hell out of my house with that shit .
Get the hell out of my life
I don't know who you think you're messing with.
Get the hell out of my house with that shit .
Get the hell out of my life
You smell like the perfume I didn't buy
Now I know why you closed the curtains
get out of my house
you are coming
with your muddy feet
I'm about to do something
yes i have to do something
you keep coming over
with your muddy feet
I have to do something about this
Yes, I'm going to do something
Back and forth, always questioning my doubts
Get my brain out with that shit.
Get him out of my bed
You water the weeds and you kill all the roses
Worth arriving when another door closes
So get the hell out of my house with that shit .
you are coming
with your muddy feet
I'm about to do something about this
yes i have to do something
I don't know who you're messing with
yes i have to do something
I'm about to do something about this
Wow oh oh oh yeah
Wow oh oh oh yeah
Wow, oh, oh, oh, um ( you're here )
Whoa, oh, oh, eh ( there you go, baby )
(What I do, what I do)
Get the hell out of my house with that shit.
