Nothing heralds the arrival of Christmas quite like Mariah Carey's powerful pipes on our playlists - and it seems David Beckham himself isn't immune to sticking to Christmas songs come December. Former pop star Victoria Beckham posted a video on Instagram of her husband singing along to Kelly's 1994 hit "All I Want For Christmas Is" You).
The football legend sat at the kitchen counter, drinking coffee and playing with his phone. David seemed unaware that his wife was filming him as he crooned the opening lines of a Christmas song.
During the line "Make my wish come true," Carey's high-pitched vocals on the radio version of the song, he toned it down. This made Victoria giggle and David looked up and saw he was being filmed. "You struggle with that high note, don't you?" the former Spice Girl quipped. To prove his wife wrong, David belted out the last high note of the song's a cappella intro.
The adorable video quickly racked up over a million likes and also caught the attention of Kylie herself, who showed her appreciation by declaring it her "new favorite rendition" of the song.
Although David enjoyed a festive moment with his family, he has recently come under criticism regarding his role as Qatar's cultural and tourism ambassador. Many have expressed concerns about the country's human rights practices and have chosen to boycott the 2022 World Cup to express their displeasure.
