Everyone knows that Starbucks is more than just a coffee shop. I mean, why would you buy something so ordinary when you can sip on one of the chain's delicious and indulgent ~fancy~ drinks? In fact, it's those non-coffee drinks that have gained more traction in recent years (see: Unicorn Frappuccino). Starbucks' latest line of specialty drinks takes frozen drinks to a whole new level. Save room for dessert, because you're definitely going to want to try Starbucks' Cheesecake Frappuccino.
The Cheesecake Frappuccino Collection combines one of the world's richest, most delicious desserts with coffee, ice and other finishing touches to create the perfect summer treat. You can choose from caramel coffee cheesecake, mocha coffee cheesecake or blueberry cheesecake buttercream. The Caramel Coffee Cheesecake Frappuccino is a blend of caramel and coffee cheesecake mixture, finished with whipped cream and cookie crumbs. The Mocha Cheesecake Coffee Frappuccino combines mocha with a coffee cheesecake mixture and is finished with whipped cream and cookie crumbs. The Caffeine-Free Blueberry Cheesecake Cream Frappuccino combines blueberry puree with cheesecake mix and, you guessed it, whipped cream and cookie crumbs. The drink's mix with whip and biscuits - mimicking the crust - gives the impression of drinking dessert.
Sounds perfect, doesn't it? Unfortunately, there's one small detail holding back this huge treat: the Starbucks Cheesecake Frappuccino is only available in the UK (at least for now).
But, for those of us living in the United States, all hope is not lost. While the Cheesecake Frappuccino lineup isn't currently available at Starbucks stores in the U.S., with a few extra steps and some creativity, you can make something "almost" as delicious.
Last fall, news circulated online that a Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino would be part of the chain's secret menu. To order it, you'll ask your barista to add a pump of cinnamon sweet syrup, a scoop of vanilla bean powder, and a pump of white mocha sauce to your Creamy Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. But, with there's no PSL season yet (just two months left), now is the perfect time to try that magic with a different buttery canvas. The world is your oyster—er, Frap.
Since its first launch in 1995, the Starbucks Frappuccino has undoubtedly become the brand's most iconic product. You can get a cup of dark roast coffee anywhere, but there's only one place where you can buy authentic icewine. Frappuccino blends originally came in just two flavors - coffee and mocha - but now come in a variety of flavors, many of which don't even contain coffee. According to the Starbucks website, the drink is currently available in more than 60 countries, and its taste is influenced by local environments. Varieties include "Asia's Coffee Jelly Frappuccino and Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino, Peru's Algarrobina Frappuccino using black carob syrup, and Brazil's Chocolate Brigadeiro Frappuccino."
Of them all, the clear leader in tastiest is Starbucks' newest addition, the Cheesecake Frappuccino line. Catching one may require a plane ticket across the pond, but there's no doubt it's worth the trek.
