Pink opens up about the time Madonna tried to 'play her' on live TV

Fans of the Grammy winner may recall that Pink is no stranger to celebrity feuds. The "So What" hitmaker has previously feuded with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato. Now, Pink claims the one and only Madonna "doesn't like" her after the pop diva "tried to toy" with her following an awkward backstage encounter.

The "Get The Party Started" singer recalled the incident in February 2023 on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show and revealed that it happened nearly 20 years ago on the daytime show "Live with Regis and Kelly " middle.

"It's just a silly story. I love Madonna to death, I love her no matter what," she explained to host Howard Stern. "No matter what, I still love her. She's a big inspiration to me, but the twist is that I'm like a fangirl who longs to meet Madonna when she actually invites me into her dressing room room."

Pink continued: "So when Regis (Philbin) took me out and said, 'I heard you fell down backstage, I was just joking. How did it feel?' I was like, ' I thought she wanted to see me.'"

The singer added that the joke "didn't work," sharing, "She was trying to play me on 'Regis & Kelly ,' but I'm not that person... some people just don't like me."

This isn't the only behind-the-scenes tidbit Pink has revealed during her 2023 promotional tour for her latest album , Trustfall . The "Who Knew" performer told Buzzfeed UK that filming the 2001 "Lady Marmalade" music video with Lil' Kim, Mya and Aguilera "wasn't very fun." She continued: "I'm having fun, but there's a lot of fuss. There's some personality ."

Meanwhile, Pink also recalled her 2004 Pepsi Super Bowl commercial alongside Britney Spears and Beyonce in an interview with People magazine , calling the experience "weird."

"What a weird deal that was. What the hell? Like, 'What are we doing?'" she said. "Also, you're Pepsi. You're flying us to Rome to shoot in a fake Colosseum down the street from the real Colosseum. Why are we here? We could have gone to Canada. I don't understand."
