Florence Pugh returns to music with new duo with brother Toby Sebastian

When she's not starring in movies like "Don't Worry Darling," like "The Wonder," Florence Pugh is clearly a low-key pop star. On March 1, Pugh's musician brother Toby Sebastian released the music video for his new single "Midnight," which features the Oscar nominee on backing vocals. The siblings made their collaboration even more sentimental in this new video, shot together at their family's restaurant Kazbar in their hometown of Oxford, England.

Sebastian said in a statement that "Midnight" is just his latest creative endeavor with Pugh, explaining that they have "always been growing together" as a family. "When I wrote the song, I was walking out of the house to do the final edits, and my mom was like, 'Floss, why don't you sing some harmony?'" he recalled. “So we jumped in the car and, with no rehearsal and about 20 minutes of studio time, Florence added her magic to the song.”

In this video, Sebastian and Pugh take the stage at Kazbal, waiting for their lovers to fill the dance floor. To add to the family feel, the singer hired a cast and crew of family and friends to create the video. "We had a lot of fun shooting in the family restaurant where my sisters and I grew up," he said. “The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, so we knew it would be the perfect setting for the music video.”

Eagle-eyed fans of Pugh will know that this isn't her first foray into music. In 2013, long before he became a movie star, the actor posted videos of himself performing on his YouTube channel, including a self-written song titled Flossie Rose and covers of Oasis' "Wonderwall" and Bob Dylan's Hit songs like "Make You Feel My Love". ." She also teamed up with "Don't Worry Darling" co-star Harry Styles to write a very creepy song for the film, "Always With You," sung by Pugh and produced by Single Lyrics to alumni.

Sebastian's music career is going from strength to strength and he will embark on his first UK tour in April 2023, and his sister plans to follow suit. During a Jan. 26 episode of Vogue 's The Run-Through podcast, Pugh revealed that she will be releasing original music from this year's film "The Good Person," which she collaborates with ex-boyfriend Zach Braff on. , as part of her.

"It was an exciting experience and something I've been dying to do for years," she said. "[Music] is one of those things that means a lot to you and the less you do it, the less confidence you have and eventually you lose confidence. I was scared for years about how to do it. Finally, this opportunity presented itself Now, I read Zach's script and I said, "I'm inspired to write a song. "We put them in the movie."
