Joe Jonas gave Nathan Fielder a drink and got this weird treat in return

Joe Jonas had his day "mayonnaiseed" by the comedian after he spotted Nathan Fielder at dinner. On Nov. 4, the Jonas Brother shared one of his "story time" videos on Instagram, detailing a hilarious unexpected encounter with the Nathan For You star.

According to Jonas, he was having dinner at Donna's Italian Restaurant in Los Angeles when he noticed Field sitting at a nearby table. Being a huge fan of the comedian, Jonas decided to send him a drink.

"I asked the waiter if we could bring something over and he said, 'You have great taste,' which made me feel so happy about loving everything Nathan Fielder," he recalled.

unexpected move

Considering what Field gave Jonas in return, it's unclear whether he appreciated the move. “He sent it back as a thank you, mayonnaise,” Jonas reveals, deadpan.

To prove his bizarre story is legitimate, Jonas included a photo of said mayonnaise at the end of the video. "Thank you Nathan!!" he captioned the photo.

“What Nathan Fielder would do”

Of course, fans were intrigued by the story and made plenty of puns in Jonas' comments section. "Herman what did you say?" one fan quipped, while another asked: "Wonder if he's thinking, 'Wow, Joe Jonas and I are in the same restaurant.'"

Other fans noted that giving mayonnaise is "a very Nathan Field thing to do," with one person joking, "You got it Nathan."

A cursed show is coming

Fielder's latest projects include the 2022 HBO documentary "Rehearsal," in which he helps people prepare for real-life situations, such as a marriage proposal or a battle over a will. He organizes a literal rehearsal for people to prepare for life's trivial moments, complete with elaborate sets and real actors.

Field can next be seen in his upcoming Showtime series Cursed , which he also co-created with Benny Safdie.

The comedian stars alongside Emma Stone as a newlywed couple who host their own HGTV-style house-flipping show. However, unlike HGTV, their show became "cursed" when he gave $100 to a young girl on camera and then took it back.
