Noel Gallagher joins Nepo Baby Convo

Another day, another Nebo baby debate. From Lily Collins to Lily Allen, celebrities have spoken about their privilege and their experiences. The latest person to step up to the fray is Oasis singer Noel Gallagher, whose eldest son identifies as Baby Nebo. In an interview with Absolute Radio's Dave Berry, Gallagher defended his daughter Anais from ex-wife Meg Matthews.

"I never pushed her in any particular direction," he said, explaining that he asked his 22-year-old daughter to shoot pieces for his upcoming album Council Skies simply because of her talent, before joking about With You It's also "cheap" for your children to work for you.

He explained: "She got into photography, went to college and stuff like that, and was doing great, and when I was making this record, you know I said, 'Why don't you get a camera and film me doing the record?' 'Just because she's good at what she does and her pictures are really good, I wouldn't be doing it for the sake of it if she was terrible."

Gallagher stresses that nepo babies can get help, but it will only work if they are passionate and motivated. He continued: "But the nepotism thing, it's human nature to help your kids out, isn't it? You know what I mean, but like I said, they have to... they have to be good at it She's very good at what she does here, and she's not just talking to the camera and saying, "Well, this is my dad. "She's great."

Anais has previously commented on the Nebo baby debate, telling MailOnline: "I would be tone-deaf if I didn't acknowledge how privileged my life has been and how helpful my upbringing has been. Irresponsible. But I do think there needs to be a push to hire people who are very deserving and who may not come from a background that has all the connections.”
