Billie Eilish recreates popular scene from The Office stars

Although The Office originally aired in 2005 when Billie Eilish was just three years old, the seven-time Grammy winner has been outspoken about being a big fan of the NBC show. Her song "My Strange Addiction" was taken from an Office play (remember "The Scarn"?), she aced Rainn Wilson's (aka Dwight) Office trivia game on Billboard's Quized 2019 episode, and now , she is a full member of the Party Planning Committee.

On January 3, Eilish was a guest on the Office Ladies podcast produced by Office alums Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, and was invited to reenact an iconic scene from Season 1, Episode 4, "The Alliance." "Would you like to film with us?" Fisher asked an enthusiastic Eilish. "We printed out a scene from the show," Kinsey added, which was an "actual filming draft" from 2004.

When Eilish found out they were filming the first-ever Party Planning Committee (PPC) scene, she responded, "Oh, yeah, I'm very familiar with that scene." Both Fisher and Kinsey went on to play Pam Bee Slee and Angela Martin, while the "Bad Guy" singer plays Phyllis Lapine-Vance (originally played by Phyllis Smith).

Upon entering the scene, Eilish uttered the line, "For the decorations, maybe we could do, no, that's stupid, forget about it," adding, "Well, I was going to say maybe we could have streamers, but It's stupid, everyone has streamers, that's okay." She then went on to suggest streamer colors, before Angela delivered her signature "green is kind of slutty" line.

Fisher then welcomed Eilish to the group. "You officially joined the PPC," she told Eilish, which was a big deal, especially since the PPC expels members (RIP Karen's PPC tenure).

During a 2020 episode of Brian Baumgartner's podcast The Oral History of The Office, Eilish talked about her obsession with the show - admitting she'd watched it 14 times. She even has a podcast with her Office hero Steve Carell, who plays Eilish's favorite character, Michael Scott. Carell also guest-starred on his co-star's podcast (Baumgartner plays Kevin Malone) to discuss The Office's lasting legacy years after it went off the air.

Eilish said, "Every time I watch it, I learn something new because I've been watching it since I was 12 years old," she said. "Honestly, if you ask my parents, most of the things - and this makes me sound stupid - but most of the things that I know are because of the office. "

She even said she watches all the time—either actively or not. "I've never seen it on TV or anything. Me and my little phone on a little table and I'm cleaning the room, or leaving the room, or taking a shower or something," she said, adding , "Because I've seen it so many times I can picture exactly what the scene is, so it takes me away from the reality of life... It's like a safe space."
