Taylor Swift & Jack Antonoff Cleverly Hide Their Private Grammy Chats

The Grammys may be "music's biggest night," but there's still room for private conversations — as long as you're smart. for example? Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff chatted at the dinner table at the 2024 Awards, and Taylor Swift used a fashion accessory to prevent fans from reading Lip reading.

During the February 4 episode, Swift and Antonoff chatted in the audience. A viral video of the exchange shows Swift holding a black fan to her lips while leaning in to tell Antonoff something. Her longtime collaborator listened intently. "LMAO, she's so cunning," one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while another said they "need to know" what was said between the two.

Not this time!

Just weeks after the Golden Globes, Swift was seen chatting away with Selena Gomez, and fans tried to decipher their conversation through lip-reading.

There was even speculation that the friends were talking about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, but Gomez ultimately shut down the topic. "No, I told Taylor that two of my friends were hooking up," she later commented on Instagram. "It's no one's business."

This time, Swift seems prepared for potential gossip. Swift's friend Lana Del Rey was even seen wearing matching fans — because, why not? Do you want your entire circle of friends to be protected from online rumors?

Tea time, everyone agrees...

While Swift wisely fanned the flames, the stunt itself sparked some rumors. Some viewers speculated whether these fans were a nod to Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" music video and, by extension , her highly anticipated "Reputation" (Tyler's version).

But alas, Swift may be whispering about something bigger. Later in the show, she won her 13th Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Midnights" . Swift has announced the release of her 11th studio album , The Tortured Poets Department .

Well, who knows? Maybe she has some last-minute details she needs to iron out with her go-to producer. During the pre-show ceremony, Antonoff praised Swift in his acceptance speech for Non-Classical Producer of the Year. "Taylor Swift opened that damn door for me," he said of their collaboration a decade ago on "Get Out."
