The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer and his wife Amelie welcome their first child

Bachelor Nation has a new member, and she might just be the cutest one out there. On January 11, The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer announced that he and his wife, Emely, welcomed their first child, a baby named Ella Rayne. Ella Reine Palmer's baby girl. Thankfully, she wasn't born during a golden wedding.

The couple announced their arrival in a joint Instagram post, sharing a selfie in the hospital room with their newborn daughter cuddled up to her mother.

"Our world has changed forever," Jesse wrote. "She's finally here...Ella Rein Palmer. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude." He ended his post with the hashtag, "#Love #Family #Baby #Parents."

Jesse and Emely announced to People magazine that they were expecting their first child in August and later shared their pregnancy photos on Instagram. "We have been keeping it a secret," she wrote. "Our family is growing and our hearts are so full! This is a dream come true for us and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl in January 2024."

The couple started dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. They had a small wedding in 2020 due to lockdown restrictions and a second wedding two years later.

The couple's due date inadvertently coincides with bachelor Gerry Turner's wedding to winner Theresa Nist, which was broadcast live on January 4. Jesse was able to attend the wedding and host the special, but was warned that he might have to leave suddenly.

"Personally, I'm actually not sure if I'm going to be here tonight," he revealed during the TV special. "That's because my beautiful wife Emily is home now and we're expecting our first child to be born any day now. Seriously, it could happen tonight."

If she goes into labor, Jess's plan is to leave immediately, letting red carpet host and Bachelor alum Kathy Swartz and recent Bachelorette Charity Lawson take over.

"Emily, I know you're watching at home. I really love you. I miss you," he continued. "If you feel anything, please call me." Fortunately, their water didn't break during the two-hour special, although he ended the show quickly.

"I'm Jesse Palmer and I have to get out of here because I'm going to be a father," he said. "Emily, I love you. I'm going home now."
