Dakota Johnson would rather forget her time on The Office .
The sitcom aired for nine seasons between 2005 and 2013, and fans may remember that Johnson played an accountant who was hired by Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) in the show's final episode to replace Kevin (Brian Baumgartner).
The actor discussed her brief role on "Late Night with Seth Meyers, " which aired on February 7, and said filming "The Office" was "honestly the worst time of my life."
Dakota "loves" the office
Johnson admitted she "absolutely loved" the sitcom, adding that she jumped at the chance to appear in the finale.
"They asked, 'Do you want to be in the series finale?'" she continued. "I was like, 'Of course,' I thought I'd show up for half a day. I was there for two weeks, but I barely did the show."
Host Seth Meyers later asked "The Office" cast members if they were "super sad" while filming the final episode. "They're sad," Johnson responded. "And there's been some weird dynamics going on over the past decade."
“Some people weren’t talking to each other,” she continued. "I came in and was like, 'Glad to be here!' No one wanted to talk to me. No one gave a f***. In the context of all these scenes, it was like I was faxing something."
The Office spin-off like never before
Johansson also reflected on her 2021 run on The Office , telling The Hollywood Reporter that her role in the finale should kick off a spinoff of the beloved series.
"If everything else disappeared, maybe you'd find me on the spinoff of The Office that no one wants to watch," she shared. "I find that when something succeeds, even if there's nothing left, they keep trying to wring the towel out of the story. Sometimes, things need to end when they're supposed to end."
