'Harry Potter' vet Daniel Radcliffe calls Quinta Brunson 'perfect height' as he walks on the Emmys red carpet to be his leading lady in a romantic comedy He worried that she might not appreciate his words. Luckily for him, she wasn't worried, because the topic came up again when Brunson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! February 7th. After talking about the new season of her critically acclaimed comedy series Abbott Elementary (and all her crying at the Emmys), she addressed what Radcliffe said about their height and a potential romantic comedy future.

Brunson, who is 4 feet 11 inches tall, was made aware of Radcliffe's comments when Kimmel mentioned them on his late-night show. "He said we were a perfect height match... and we were," she said. Although she didn't want to talk too much about Radcliffe's height, she added, "We're both short, and I think on screen we look the equivalent of a 6-foot-5 man and a 5[foot] -A 9 [inch] woman...so if you put us together, it looks good.”
Brunson said the two were "good friends" and "he was great," so she reached out to him after the red carpet interview. Radcliffe felt sad and apologized for the height gain, but she let him know she didn't mind. "I was like, 'That's okay,'" she said. "'That's absolutely right.'"

Both actors had to worry about their height and the impact it might have on their past work. "When I got to Los Angeles and I started thinking seriously about whether I could be an actor, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, no one is 4 foot 11'... We may have hit a problem that we didn't think of 2022 Brunson told Bustle in April. Of course, her short stature didn't ultimately stop her from creating and starring in "Abbott Elementary ," for which she has so far won a Golden Globe and an Emmy.
According to the IMDb profile, Radcliffe is 5 feet 5 inches tall, and his height has basically not affected his acting career. However, he told Playboy in October 2015 that there were some roles he couldn't "take seriously" given his height.
"I can't take myself seriously as a quarterback in a football movie, which is a legitimate complaint of mine," he said. "I'd love to be in a football movie. The only one I could get is a general manager."
What romantic comedy fans want
Fans are ready for Brunson and Radcliffe to team up for a romantic comedy, and they've already weighed in on the idea on social media. Kimmel read something on Brunson's show and thought a "romance novel" in which the protagonist is an "academic who does research in an old prison" and is transported back in time would be "pretty good."
Meanwhile, new episodes of Abbott Elementary Season 3 will air Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT on ABC.
