The trailer for Furiosa: The Mad Max Legend features Anya Taylor-Joy's fearless fashion moments. A star in a spiked headpiece and matching miniskirt, she's the sunhat master of the French Riviera and a full-fledged member of the sans pants club. On May 17, her pantless look at the film's UK premiere in London was another highlight.
Anya's High Fashion Jumpsuit
Taylor-Joy stepped onto the red carpet at BFI IMAX Waterloo wearing a Giambattista Valli Spring 2024 Haute Couture jumpsuit, once again starting the pantsless trend. There, she showed off her look alongside co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Alela Brown, Tom Burke and Angus Sampson. Her otherwise simple black strapless outfit was memorable for its dramatic white roses surrounding the top.
Sheer black leggings added color to an already elegant red carpet piece, which Taylor-Joy paired with black Christian Louboutin stilettos. Given that she's an ambassador for Tiffany & Co., it's no surprise to see her wearing jewelry from the brand. Taylor-Joy completed her look with floral-inspired stud earrings, a layered diamond necklace and two statement rings.
red lip classic
Taylor-Joy also enlisted the help of makeup artist George Esdell for the premiere. She used Dior products and gave Taylor-Joy gorgeous winged eyeliner and a red lip. Everything about it was beautiful and classic, which nicely offset her bold choice to go pantsless.
After Taylor-Joy posted a video of her debut look on Instagram, fans were buzzing about the overall effect. "You look great! All your outfits for the Furiosa event look great!" one wrote. Others called her "amazing," "wonderful," and of course, "mother."
runway look
A few months ago, the same garment hit the runway during Paris Fashion Week in late January. There, it was styled differently: the model walked without tights, and she wore gladiator-style flats instead of stilettos. Another change saw her wear more roses in her hair, while Taylor-Joy opted for a sleek high ponytail.
The bodysuit opened Valli's show, and he told Vogue he was inspired by nature when creating his collection. "Flowers, roses, nature - they are noble and timeless, they are a caress for the soul," he said.
